louis goes up stairs to 9th floor. sees old lady walking up a flight of steps behind. he sees that the client is not in her office and turns around and opens door to stairwell. old lady now at 9th floor is startled and smiling.
old lady: oh bless your heart! that was so kind of you to wait for me and hold the door open.
louis: ha. actually i wasnt. i was on my way back down because the person i came up to see wasnt there. im not that nice.
old lady chuckles thinking louis is kidding. louis quickly turns around and runs downstairs.

so the client im at has free snacks, which makes me happy. so i walked into the snack room and for no reason, started mouthing a song which went, "who's gonna get some cheez-its...this guy!" and then i noticed that someone else was in the room. classic. i will be happy to sing this song to anyone.on an unrelated noted, boredom and dislike of long hair has resulted in a kwok shaved head. please grow back soon.on another unrelated note, kwok talk episode #14 will probably be put out late saturday or sunday due to an interview im trying to line up. it promises to be a "danger"-filled episode! and if things work out, there should be an extra awesome surprise with the release of #14!addendum #1on my way back to the office, i was listening to a podcast. sometimes when i listen to stuff in the car, i just shout/sing back things in almost a parrot-ical manner for no reason. well, being a tech podcast, the phrase "f-network" was said, to which i shouted out "f-network!" in a loud voice. then i realized that my window was down...driving in a parking lot...next to a group of people smoking...who think i dropped the f-bomb their way.

so just as some background info, the PCAOB is a new accounting governance body set up in the wake of Enron, Worldcom, etc... they were in town this week reviewing our office. we were heading off to lunch and our staff (a girl) was meeting us at the elevators, so i had to bring her purse to her. upon getting her purse and walking down the hall, the PCAOB representatives head out too and follow me to the elevators and get full witness of me awkwardly holding a purse.even worse...it didnt even match my outfit.
for a good cause!
so...i finally bought my new super hot/sexy fridge yesterday. turns out they quoted me the wrong price (it turned out to be $499 instead of $399), so instead of getting a $20 discount on the floor model i got a $120 discount much to the dismay of the manager. in your face, home depot. however, i won't get it until next thursday, so i won't have a fridge for another week.please feel free to feed me. i only have water and alcohol for subsistence at home. you can write it off as a tax deduction as charity.speaking of eating. this is the freaking most hilarious article i have read in a while.attention all you single people! tune in to Kwok Talk - Episode #12 this weekend for a sure to be super-fun interview that i just locked up, to which i will keep under wraps for now.
subscription fixed?
as you may have noticed, all of the addendums from the weekend have now been deleted. i think that was screwing up the feed, which prevented some people (-ahem, wynne-) from getting the episode pulled via itunes. i do this for the fans.day 5 w/o fridge. its weird, but actually i haven't missed it all that much. i realize how little i am actually home for meals. i saw one at home depot that i liked and will soon head over to maybe get it. stainless steel. very sexy.on a side note, our team played a game today, where whoever could name the artist on the radio first got a point. at the end of the day, i tied with another girl with 27 points. i amazed them by getting the random ones (harvey danger, dht, anyone?). my mind is so messed up. i can't remember what someone said 5 minutes ago, but can remember who wrote a one-hit wonder from the 90's.lhk.
nooma
so last week i ordered a copy from the nooma series, which is a series of short movies/sermons from the pastor at mars hill in MI. i thought i ordered #1, but apparently i ordered #10. its pretty interesting, but i still get hung up with the fact that i paid $12 for a movie that not even 12 minutes long.might be kwok talk worthy...just a little teaser for this week's episode.
