everything's breaking!

This is not a grumbling post...this is not a grumbling post (did i not learn anything this week in sunday school)

Louis is trying to prevent going into a rage like Son Gohan.

Repair guy came out this morning to look at fridge, which has the cooling power of like 3 gerbils running on a wheel. The cooling tubes are totally shot, and would cost almost $500 to replace. Essentially that's about the price of getting a new fridge, which is now my next goal (i say as i now very inconveniently head to fly out of town)

In perhaps worse news, my ipod has been breaking down and today gave the big kaput by not working anymore. (extra annoyance, I downloaded the new Wolf Parade & David Crowder albums today and can't even listen to them now!) Plan on making a stop by the Apple store on the way to work. Thankfully, i purchased it in early Oct last year, so it should be under warranty. They dont make my model anymore, so maybe they'll just give me 4 of those hot new nanos.

This day isn't boding well technology-wise for me. Someone said the trifecta of stuff breaking would be accomplished by something happening to the mini-van today. If you see a young asian male on the side of the road punching his van (or rocking back and forth in the fetal position) today, you know what happened.

on a side note, to further explain my choice of picture, Son Gohan is probably my fav character from the Dragonball Z series. while being one of the strongest characters in the series, he only lives up to his potential when pushed to the limit, as he is a normally passive and tentative boy. i feel akin to that type of personality. except my hair doesnt turn blond when i get super angry.

stupid sin making things break down in the world.

holding it together.
lhk.

addendum #1: so i went to the apple store and they gave me a new one as a replacement. i didnt get a sexy ipod, but rather the good & simple same model i had before. sadly, they couldnt help me with a free fridge replacement. oh well.

interestingly, this bible verse sprung to mind. "even though the fig trees have no blossom, and there are no grapes on the vine,; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!" - Habukkuk 3:17-18. in your face, sinful Louis!
